Media and the Courtooms- publications bans, television cameras in courtrooms. Good or bad ideas?

This blogged is essentially about the media and the role that they play in our courtrooms and the effect it has, whether good or bad, or both.

Publication bans and television cameras are a major issue as it relates to courtroom proceedings. Some media personnel believe that publication bans, which are used to prevent certain things such as witness and jury identification from being disclosed to the public, completely goes against media and press freedom. While, others like myself, believe that publication bans are actually safe, as it relates to the security of witnesses and the jury and, that television cameras have more of a negative effect than positive.
